have aq service tech come and check your digital tuner. first check and see if you are using that particular tuner. some tv's come with two types a digital and an analog tuner.
satellite tuners and DVDs have different remote,unless your using a universal remote with satellite tuner command available.to program recording, you'll need to program the time especially the allotment.then make sure you sat tuner is tuned to the station you want to record.after setting the time and station, its all set.you don't need the DVD's remote to change the channel.
Normally, the driver you have with the hardware is the driver you must you, as it may cause all sorts of conflics trying to use others.
Intervideo would not have written a driver for your dvbt card, only their own.
