These water filters are prone to getting stuck. Remove the filter snap cover by gently prying hte left and right sides out. You will need to use 2 hands and grasp the filter head with one hand, which the filter twists into and the filter with the other hand, twist firmly to the left or counter clockwise at least half a turn. Not holding the filter head will cause the head to snap out of its holder and just flop down. Pleazer Appliance...

How to get a stuck Fridgidaire FPPWFU01 water filter out?

Stuck water filter removal.

Here are the steps you can follow to remove a stuck Frigidaire FPPWFU01 water filter:

Turn off the power supply to the refrigerator. Unplugging the refrigerator is the safest option.

Locate the filter housing. It is usually located at the back of the refrigerator compartment or at the bottom of the grille.

If the filter housing has screws on the back, you may need to remove the entire housing to access the filter. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws and carefully pull the housing forward.

Once you have access to the filter, try turning it counterclockwise to remove it. If it doesn't budge, try using a filter wrench to get a better grip.

If the filter still won't come out, try pressing down on the filter and turning it counterclockwise. This will release the pressure on the filter and make it easier to remove.

If all else fails, try using a pair of pliers to grip the filter and turn it counterclockwise. Be careful not to damage the filter or the filter housing.

Once you have successfully removed the filter, inspect it for damage or clogs. If it looks dirty or damaged, replace it with a new filter.

Reinstall the filter housing and turn the power supply back on to the refrigerator.

If you are still having trouble removing the filter, it may be best to contact a professional technician for assistance.

My frigidaire water filters is stuck. When i push it in, it wont release. How can i remove it?

I had the hardest time getting the old filter out...nothing worked for me; it wasn't frozen with ice as one video suggested, it was just physically stuck. Pressing in I couldn't get the rear latch mechanism to let it go. (even after removing the housing) I ended up:

1) turn off water pressure (maybe this helped some?)
2) removed the 4 screws holding the mounting mechanism to be able to get to the latch that holds the "rooster comb" of the filter.
3) took a hemostat and moved up the latch while pressing the filter in (a bit tough now that bracket wasn't mounted, so nothing to push against
4) it finally came out.

One of the plastic clips on the "rooster comb" actually broke on the filter side, it was likely jambed so I couldn't remove the filter. The replacement filter doesn't have the full "rooster comb" instead just one piece of the "comb" but it seems to hold in place fine, maybe will make it easier to remove (didn't want to tempt fate trying to remove it after I got it in place).

So...I'll try buying a filter that has just one piece comb. Also, the one that stuck had this comb on a slide mechanism that goes up and down (relative to top/bottom of refrigerator) but the replacement has it fixed with no slide...it could be that the slide movement actually contributed to it being stuck, since the mounting plate in the refrigerator also slides up/down in same direction (not sure why 2 pieces both slide, maybe if spring in mounting plate were stronger it would work better but in lieu of changing out the $40 mounting plate, I'll see if this "one piece" comb allows it to be removed with less fuss.

How do I get a stuck hot tub filter out

The best way to never having your hot tub filter getting stuck is.
  1. remove the hot tub filter monthly for a cleaning
  2. Only install the filter hand tight
  3. Replace your hot tub filter yearly
If your hot tub filter is stuck the best way to remove it is
  1. Turn off the hot tub power
  2. Use a strap wrench for leverage
  3. You may have to remove the water for better access

Service manual

Having a water dispenser continually flowing is possible but it is very possible the 67006531 Dual Water Control Valve that is located on the back and near floor of most refrigerators is stuck open mechanically. There also could be a broken micro switch behind the pressure paddle where you press you glass against to get water. Here is a JCD2295KES Service Manual I believe you asked for. I am here should you have questions, Thanks Sea Breeze

GE Fridge - The water filter bypass plug is stuck

Should just take a quarter turn CCW to remove. You may loose a few drips of water, but the water shuts off automatically when the plug or a filter is removed. A wrench should not be needed to do this.

Washer is Kenmore He2 model # 110.46462501

Hi,
It sounds like you have something stuck in the pump.
To repair
Unplug machine.
Remove bottom front panel(remove 2-3 screws in the bottom) Pull bottom of panel out and down to remove.
Towards the center bottom you will see the pump. On the front is a round thing that resembles a filter. This is the pump filter screen...Get a shallow pan to put under screen. Turn lid counter clockwise to remove(turn slowly and allow water to drain. As you may need to dump pan several times before all water is drained out. Be carful or you could end up with water everywhere. Once the water is drained pull out screen and remove the debris and objects stuck in screen and filter housing you should also be able to see the impeller on the pump inspect for debris. Once everything is cleaned out reverse removal procedures put back together.

Cuisinart Grind & Brew DGB-600 fills up water in goldtone filter;

Some fine-grain coffees are too fine for the Gold Tone Filter. If this is the case, remove the Gold tone Filter and use paper filters only. You may have to wash excess grinds out of the black filter basket, since there may be a few stuck in there now - don't take the filter basket apart - just rinse it out with water.

Also, don't use a paper filter and the gold tone filter at the same time.

Good luck!
