My KitchenAid Superba Fridge is constantly beeping from the back of the fridge and is making clicking noises on and off. Everytime it clicks, the control panel in the fridge dims on and off. I am not sure if cooling has been affected as it is too early to tell. Any idea on what part needs to be replaced?
Sounds like a 2304175 Main Control Board and/or W10629033 Inverter Board
I am here should you need me, Thanks John Tripp Appliance 911
I have removed the Main Control Board and was wondering which piece they usually replace/repair? Living in Canada, I would prefer if I could get it done locally rather than mailing the part off to the US and paying extra postage. The Main Control board itself looks fine to the naked eye, is there a specific part that is broken on it that they repair?
Wow that is a hard question to answer! Sometimes the capacitors show a round top that indicates a defective capacitor. Burn marks and signs of heat on the boards will also hint that the board is defective, but not always. There is no way to test the inverter board either unless you switch out parts. Where was the clicking sounds coming from? JT
Let me know what you find, Thanks JT

Next to the compressor is a relay called a klickson
You can get engineer to replace for about $120 or buy one for about $20
Yes you have a bad relay on your compressor.Remove the rear panel and take off the relay on the compressor shake it.If it sounds fried then you need to order new on .Just give your model# to your local parts depot and ask them to order you a new compressor relay hope i fixya:)

You have done a good job of attempting to diagnose by process of elimination, but this is a more complex system. I have provided some links below to assist you in diagnosing your problem. Links courtesy of www.repairclinic.com.
1. Ascertain that the evaporator fan is operational. This may be controlled by the Door Switch, (No.4) and could cause the fan to be inoperable.
2. Ascertain that the Fresh Food compartment light goes off when door is closed.
3. The air diffuser may be faulty by not controlling the air flow from the freezer properly
Tip: Always maintain dual temperature control settings at equal or +/- 1 setting position.

You will need to verify operation of the following components listed below:
1. Evaporator fan motor
2. Air diffuser assembly
3. Light switch for refrigerator/freezer light
4. Door switch

Recently had a friend with the same problem. Found that one of the power supplies on the board had a blown capacitor. This allowed the relay on the board to energize but not enough voltage was being sent to hole the relay closed. Basically a blown board was the problem. I found the wiring diagram very informative, it was hidden behind the temprature potentiometers.

I came across this problem recently , and found the main control board was bad . Check this site first , to see if it can be covered under warranty .

It was covered under warranty , at the previous customers residence .
Testimonial: "Thanks for the information on the main control board. I replaced it and its working great. I checked the warranty info but mine wasn't covered."
