Try as suggested to count the blinks to see if it is an error code or not. blinks will be in a sequence with a pause and blink the same number of times over and over.

TV wont stay on. Links light keeps blinking then tv shuts off

First try to reset the lamp timer. You can find the directions in your manual. If it fixes your issue you should replace the lamp as soon as possible.

My timer light keeps blinking on my Mitsubishi-TV not watchable

tv is not locked up, you have a lot of capacitors that have gone bad on the boards that make up the chassis. We have been sending the chassis in to Mitsubishi to be rebuilt. Some people have been doing the capacitor changing themselves but, this is a very involved job.

Tv wont turn

The blinking red light at the the front of the television is the "Diagnostic STANDBY/TIMER LED".
This little red light will blink 2, 4, or 5 times and then stay off for three-seconds. And blink again for 2, 4, or 5 times. This cycle repeats. The most common diagnostic code is the 4-blink code.

When the red LED blinks 4-times, it means one of two possible causes:
1) +13V is not supplied on the A-board. Or, 2) IC502 is faulty.

It is best to take this television set to a repair facility and ask that the +13V power supply be repaired.
The copper tracks and integrated circuit pads are very thin and delicate on the KV-24FV12 circuit board, and will easily lift off of the circuit board, if the incorrect desoldering tool is used. Unless one has a good quality PACE vacuum desoldering unit, one should not attempt to repair the television.
