Olympus D560 - the lens will not extend, the camera beeps. I've changed batteries, but "new batteries" can also be dead. Suggestions?

The problem you are describing is a problem with a sensor in the lens assembly of the camera. It seems to have failed and needs to be replaced. Following are the instructions to send your camera to Olympus for service.

http://olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/cpg_servicerepair.asp

Olympus will charge a flat rate repair fee for this product if beyond the one year factory warranty or the warranty is voided. The cost is $87 plus your local sales tax. This covers parts and labor, factory cleaning and diagnostic check, 6 month warranty and the cost of shipping the product back to you is all included in that price.

Dropped my Olympus FE 3010 and unsurprisingly it's not working.... Everytime I turn the camera on, the lens extends halfway, then stops. The camera beeps at me, the green LED turns orange and the camera...

Sounds like a gear has broken or slipped in the lens mechanism. Depending on the camera, it will probably be cheaper to replace the whole camera.

Blinking green light, lens not coming out, not able to take pics

I had the same issue with both my D550 and D560 that I just picked up. If you are using normal AA batteries, change to Lithium. Now both my camera's are working. I used to be able to use AA's but for some reason, the ones I have picked up recently were not strong enough. Worth a try at only about $10 for a 4 pack at your local Walgreens or CVS.

Olympus Camedia C5050 Zoom

The unusual beeps usually occur when the lens cannot be extended or retracted, often due to dirt in the gearing or the lens cap being left on.
Try using canned air to blow around the outside of the extension cylinder, and, putting a fresh set of batteries in the camera (it probably got stuck on since it couldn't fully retract the lens and didn't complete the shutdown).
If that doesn't work, try taking it to a camera store with repair technicians and having them take apart and clean the lens extension/retraction mechanism.
