Hi, im trying to connect motherboard intel D865GVHZ front panel to connection J9H3, i need a diagram for it. Thank you for your help

I may be confused with your problem you posted mar13974.
I thought Jumper J9H3 was for the Front Chassis Fan.
By your post, it leads me to believe you want the pin assignments for the Front Panel header on the mobo.

At any rate let's go to Intel Product Support, and the download page for the motherboard manual, for the Intel D865GVHZ desktop mobo,
(MOtherBOard),

http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/d865gvhz/sb/CS-010872.htm

Click on the blue file name - D865GVHZ_ProductGuide01_English.pdf

After you click you may not see anything happening for up to 30 seconds. The file is downloading in the background.
(Took 16 seconds for me just now with a medium speed DSL connection)

Page 33 shows the location of the Front Panel header on the motherboard.
(C)
Page 34 details the pin assignments

Page 36 shows the Front Chassis Fan header location (Chassis front fan)
3-pin header, doesn't state the pin assignments.
With a 3-wire fan cable,
A) 1 wire is the Power wire. Generally Red
B) 1 wire is the Ground wire. Generally Black
C) 1 wire is the speed sensor wire. Reads how fast the fan is spinning in Revolutions Per Minute
(RPM) Generally Blue, but it's up to the individual manufacturer.

If the above isn't what you had in mind, please state in a Comment.

FRONT AUDIO PORT

If you are familiar with electronic parts you can fix this with your own. Open you CPU casing and locate the wire connected to your front audio. At the end part of the wire from your front panel you need to plug the end part to your motherboard. You can see the audio port at the lower part to the motherboard. You can read there a label audio input so you plug at this port

Case wire colors vary, unless your case jumpers are marked. Common colors for positive include solid blue, red and green.
Ground - negative color is usually solid white.
Except when connecting an internal speaker, red wire is positive and black is negative.

Hope you find this hepful!

Front panel audio connection to asus pk5 se mobo

Hi Tracybow,

The Front Panel Audio connection should have a couple of wires to plug in into your MotherBoard. Usually, the connectors are named and all you need to know is the exact location in your MotherBoard.
I would suggest you to visit your MotherBoard manufacturer and download the manual for your MoBo. You will find in the manual a diagram of the MotherBoard which shows the location for those wires.

Hope this helps.

Best regards
Eduardo
