Argos i2000 More than 4 rings before voicemail

my mom's jitterbug flip phone goes directly to voicemail and doesn't right. If I call her, I hear one or no rings before it goes to voicemail

Change number of rings before voicemail answers

Go to Account overview > My digital phone > Check or manage voicemail & features.On the Voicemail Settings tab, scroll to General Preferences and select Set Number Of Rings Before Voicemail.Choose a setting ranging from 1 ring (6 seconds) to 6 rings (36 seconds).Select Save.

It could be that the phone is delayed in ringing. Try placing a test call and see how many times it rings in the phone you are calling from before it rings on the phone. Then you can determine if the phone is delayed in ringing. If you hear ringing and the phone rings once and then it goes to voicemail then there may be a setting on your phone that is causing this.

The CS6419 isn't an answering machine. The phone will ring until you answer, an answering machine or voicemail system picks up, or the caller hangs up.

To change the ring count on an answering machine or voicemail system, refer to the documentation for that system. If you require further assistance, please add a comment to this question and identify the answering machine or voicemail system.

The TRU9466 isn't an answering machine. The number of rings is controlled by whatever answering machine or voicemail system you have on your phone line. Please refer to the documentation for the answering machine or voicemail system to change the ring count.

If you have purchased This Tv Bush LC39GL12F from Argos, there is not a code available and Argos do not forsee a code being available in the near future.

I was advised to call Argos Customer service on 0845 6403030 to log a complaint as to no code and eventually a code maybe made available..

This happens when the number of rings to answer of the provider voicemail is less than the number of rings to answer that the answer machine is set for. For example: if your provider voicemail rings to answer is set for 3 rings and the answer machine is set for 4 rings then the voicemail answers before the 4th ring, therefore the answer machine will never get a message. I would call the service provider's customer service number and request they increase the rings to answer above the number of rings to answer that the answer machine is set for. If you don't want voicemail to answer any calls(when your line is busy or when the answer machine is turned off) ask your service provider to disable voicemail.

Your voicemail thinks that it is ringing six times. The time that it takes to transfer to the extensions counts. Whiloe it seems that there is a lapse the system actually is using enough time to ring six times total. If you need longer ring time at the extension, take in account the transfer time and set it to pick up after 8 or 9 rings. It will actually only ring six. You just have to trick the system a little.

the voicemail ring count has to be setup on your phone line thru your voicemail menu,and has nothing to do with the answering machine. if you don't want the answering machine to pickup, just shut it off. follow the prompt's for your voicemail settings, there you'll be able to set the amount of rings you want.
