The main fuse is inside the cabinet near where the power cord enters. When everything goes dead all of a sudden, 99.9% of the time it's the fuse.

Microwave ME8123St ; what do's mean the error msg -SE- ?

If your ME8123ST microwave is displaying the error code -SE-, it usually indicates a problem with the control panel or the membrane switch. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Unplug the microwave: To reset the control panel, unplug the microwave from the power source and leave it unplugged for at least 30 seconds.
  2. Plug the microwave back in: After 30 seconds, plug the microwave back in and try to use it again.
  3. Check the control panel: Inspect the control panel for any signs of damage or wear. If you see any cracks, scratches, or other damage, the control panel may need to be replaced.
  4. Check the membrane switch: The -SE- error code can also be caused by a faulty membrane switch. To check the switch, use a multimeter to test for continuity between the switch contacts. If the switch is not working properly, it will need to be replaced.
  5. Contact the manufacturer: If you are unable to resolve the issue on your own, contact the manufacturer or a qualified technician for assistance.
It's important to note that microwaves can be dangerous if not handled properly. If you're not comfortable troubleshooting the issue yourself, it's best to seek help from a qualified professional.

I have a Sharp Carousel model R-1874-T. It suddenly stopped working. No lights are on. I checked the outlet and there is power coming there. Is there a way to reset the microwave?

Steve,
You probably have a blown fuse.

Unplug your microwave and turn it around and remove the screws holding cover on and then remove the cover. Look for where the power cord goes into the back of the unit and follow the black wire from the cord to where it ends. It should stop an either a circuit board or a fuse holder. Make sure that you replace the fuse with the same amperage fuse as what you take out. You will find the amp rating stamped on one of the silver collars on each end of the fuse. Good luck!

Some power but not operating

Check out with a multitester whether the control panel switch on the power towards the high voltage transformer NNB disconnect the high voltage transformer for this test. if not the relay on the electronic controlle device is broken and the panel needs replacement. check also the 3 safety switches on the door for proper operation. mind the power it is dangerous.

No lights - Acts Like It Has No Power At All

see the diagram and pictorial and proceed with common sense:
1) test the fuse for open or band contact with VOM,see the diagram attached how to do it
2)check the switch door hook or door release button, when they are broken they do not touch the switch, and will NOT start. test for open
see the diagram

No power from Whirlpool.

IF YOU HAVE THE MICRWAVE PLUGGED IN AND THE CIRCUIT BREAKER TRIPS IMMEDIATELY WHEN SET,
CHECK THE DOOR HOOKS THAT TRIP THE DOOR SWITCHES. BOTH SHOULD BE SPRING LOADED. THERE SHOULD BE TWO HOOKS ON THE DOOR. IF O.K., CHECK THE DOOR SWITCHES. THERE ARE AT LEAST THREE. IF ONE OF THEM IS SHORTED CLOSED,
THE MONITOR SWITCH WILL CAUSE A DEAD SHORT ACROSS THE FUSE. THE FUSE MAY BE HOLDING BETTER THAN YOUR CIRCUIT BREAKER.
