Whirlpool 6th Sense AWM6145/3 thinks its door is open

We had same problem, and the only thing that we could do is call the repair man. He put in a new door lock and the problem was solved.

We have an awm8121 and there seems to be a fault on the Spin cycle indicators with th 0 RPM and the 800 RPM flashing..

We can't seem to get the frontloader to finish the drain cycle and continue into the next was.

The last load of washing was still saturated when we managed to open the door.

Switch it off and wait a while then switch on again.

i have a whirpool 6th sense washing machine and it wont spin and the timer stays on 14 minutes remaining have you come across this problem and do you have a cure

I'm not sure if that model has a door release..If it does it would be next to the pump filter cover...A small door at floor level or behind the plastic kick plate. To select another cycle return the knob to the off position at 12 o'clock, wait a moment and then select the desired programme, press start and wait while the machine cycles to the selected cycle...Be patient...Good luck...Nomess

Mine did the same thing today and I just got off the phone with Whirlpool and they said it just means that the 6th Sense technology is activated. If you put a bunch of warm food in the refrigerator or leave the door open for a while, the 6th Sense technology kicks on to return the refrigerator to the set temperature. The flashing 6 should go away once it gets back to the right temperature.

First , remove the kick plate and make sure the coils are clean of dust . lint , pet hair , etc . Then pull the refrig out and remove the rear lower panel , covering the compressor and cooling fan ( evaporator motor ) . Make sure this motor is working , if the compressor is running . If the fan does not work , then replace it as soon as possible . This fan , cools the coils and the compressor , which if not working , causes the divider strip to become extremely hot , and could cause the compressor to have problems , due to the heat . After removing the rear panel , be sure to re-install it , as this is there , to direct the air flow as needed .

This error code means there is an abnormality.
If the on-off door lock LED on a Whirlpool washer flashes rapidly at the same time as at least one other LED, then this means there is an abnormality.
Try first to reset the machine. You can press and hold the reset button for a couple of seconds, otherwise turn off the power completely (unplug it) for 5 mins.

my whirlpool 6th sense will not start all lights and power i think that it is the door sensor at fault? The green light door locked light is not on.
