SOURCE: No booting Win Xp sp3

Your laptop is trying to find a bootfile on the network and not finding one! ~This either means it's not seeing your hard drive, your hard drive hasn't got a bootfile on it, or your bios settings for booting have somehow got messed up.

3/ Select Saveicon1.png & Exit and press 'yes'

My ASUS Z99E laptop cannot access winXP

Try to access the BIOS "F2" Key, Go to the BOOT Section, set the 1st Boot device to DVD / CD Rom. Press "F10" Save and Exit. If it fails again, re-enter the BIOS. Then make sure the drive is set to IDE and not ACHI. press "F10" save and exit the BIOS. If that fails then select in the BIOS Load Setup Defaults, and re-select the boot device to DVD/ CD Rom.

If all fails, you have to open the side or bottom cover to remove the HDD - Hard Disk Drive, Connect it to a Stand alone pc via the SATA Cable or External Device (Works as USB) then you can either do an emergencey back-up, Format the drive through windows.

Hope it helps

Following instructions for factory settings on asus notebook but when i hit f9 on start up nothing happens please help

ASUS netbooks have a Boot Booster which renders all activity obsolete, you need to disable the boot booster first.

First you need to access the BIOS/Setup Utility, on an ASUS machine/Motherboard you need to hit "Del" or "F2" not F9 at this stage.

Once in the Setup Utility, using your arrow keys navigate to the Boot options page. Using down arrow key navigate to Boot Booster option and hit Enter to disable. Once the option is disabled navigate to the last tab Exit, and using down arrow key to navigate to Exit and Save Changes.

Your laptop will then reboot and as soon as it does you may start to hit "F9" which will start the Factory Settings utility. You can then follow the on screen instructions to continue wit the resetting of your machine.

Task manager in win xp keeps blinking, it will not closed, no matter what i push nothing, plus win xp keep freezing any solution how to fix this problem

VIrus infection?

to check and secure u need:

win-xp cd or other bootable win-cd, seperate up-to-date antivir software on cd or usb-stick,
your passwords

procedures:

boot system from cd/dvd (do not bother if screen resolution is different from usually),
exit windows-setup,

insert antivir-cd or stick, run full system scan.
found infections? remove/erase these files(antivir will do that for you)
if possible, back-up personal data (my folder, music, save games, etc.)
this data has to virchecked by another protected system before reinstallation !

boot from win-xp cd-rom, run setup until repair options are available,
repair your xp on harddisk(xp-will do that mostly), exit setup without installing win xp anew

boot system from hd, ignore error messages, run vircheck again.

if you're lucky, this will do, else lemmie know

I con not setup win xp on the hard without floppy disk

Start your computer. Enter BIOS SETUP. Select "Boot Order". Configure to make the CD/DVD the *FIRST* boot-device. Put the Windows CD/DVD into the drive. Save/Exit from BIOS SETUP. Your computer will restart, and will "boot" from the Windows disk in CD/DVD drive.
