Hi There,
If you've already tried resetting the power brush, and it still won't come on, this indicates that your electrical hose has most likely gone bad, and needs to be replaced.
This is actually a pretty common problem on Panasonic canisters, as well as Kenmore canisters (Panasonic makes Kenmore canisters).
In order to confirm this, what you'll need to do is purchase a simple electrical tester from Home Depot, or Lowes, and test the hose to make sure you have power making it through the hose.
To test this, remove the hose from the wand so you just have the handle of the hose in your hand with nothing attached to it. Put both ends of the electrical tester into the two female receptacles that plug into the wand, turn the machine on, and make sure that your hose is set to the carpet setting.
You definitely should have power coming to the hose at this part. If there is no power getting her, this indicates that your hose has gone bad. You may also just purchase a new hose (see link below), and if for any reason this doesn't fix your problem, you may return the hose to us within 60 days for a full 100% refund.
If the hose does have power at the end of it, repeat the process with the wand attached to the hose, but not connected to the power nozzle. If you have power getting to the hose, but not the wand, this indicates your wand has gone bad and need to be replaced. If you have power to your wand and hose, this probably indicates that the cord in the neck of the power nozzle has gone bad. Inspect the wire in the neck of the nozzle and see if you see any burning, or discoloration in on the male prongs.
I'm pretty sure that you'll just need to replace the hose, this is by far the most common problem on Panasonic canisters.
There are two different styles of hoses for Panasonic canisters. In order to find out which one is yours, remove the hose from the canister itself. Where the hose cuff plugs into the canister portion, look at the electrical prongs. There is either a 2 prong hose, or 3 prong hose. Here are links to both of the hoses. If your hose is a 3 position hose with a setting for bare floors, and carpets, then you have the 3 prong hose.
