replace the convergence ICs you can get replacements at the following link. You need two STK392-560 convergence ICs and a couple 5 amp pico fuses. Heres the link.

It sounds definitely like a faulty power connection via the video cable from the inside. If it blinks a while then turns black then shows the picture, it would have to be that it's not screwed on properly, thus taking more time for it to get a full charge and then properly function. If you still have the warranty, any electric repair/retailer shop can fix it for you.

"ghost" are not television problem. This happens when a nearby structure "echoes" the signal from the station to your TV, there is nothing wrong with it.

It could be an issue with yoru DMD board, which are micromirrors, those are the ones that form the image. discountdashmerchantdotcom

You have a convergence issue, will have to check convergence IC,S or just replace them there are usually two of them mounted on heat sinks they are usually STK'S with a number after. Also must check fuseable resistors supplying +15 and - 15 volt s to the chips. After replacement some convergence alignment may be needed. Good Luck.
