Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Write protected means you cannot write any thing into it.
There will be a kind of switch on your sd card move it to the next position and the write protect will be removed.

What does write protect mean

It means that your memory card has been protected from writes, preserving its contents.

The word "Protected" keeps coming up on the

When the word protect comes on it means there is a load problem, first! turn off the receiver, next remove all wires and speakers. Now turn the unit back on and make sure the volume is turned right down, this will reset the processor controller ic, if the word protect stays off it means there is a short in wires or one of the speakers. on the other hand if the word protect comes on when the receiver is switched on "without wires and speakers" you have a short in one or more of the audio output ic's in the receiver that will need a tech to correct.

What does 'Write Protect' mean and how do I get rid of it?

That means that your SD card (or whichever memory card you use) is write protected and you cannot edit the card's content in any way.

Take your memory card out of the camera and plug it into your computer. There should be a place for you to change the memory card's protections that way. Sometimes, as with USB drives, there might be a small sliding lock physically located on the card which will also write protect the device.

What does write protect mean in the screen

most camera data cards have a 'write protect' slide switch on the side of them, which if it is in the 'write protect' mode, nothing can modify, or put new files onto it.
Basically what it's telling you is that you can't take pictures with that card until you pop it out and slide the switch to an 'unlock' or 'non-write-protect' position.

Dell PC

Dear Karen,
protected mode:
Protected Mode is an important step forward in security for Internet Explorer (IE); it helps protect users from attack by running an IE process with greatly restricted privileges on Windows Vista. While Protected Mode does not protect against all forms of attack, it significantly reduces the ability of an attack to write, alter, or destroy data on the user's machine or to install malicious code.

unknown Zone:

In the Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser, a site may be identified as belonging to an "unknown zone". This means Internet Explorer could not determine if the site belongs to the Local Zone, the Trusted Zone, the Restricted Zone or the Internet Zone. It may mean the page contains a mixture of content - some of which is from the Trusted Zone, and some from another zone.

it means copy right protected ,i can put heaps of music on mine incept certin ones like korn beacuse there copyright protected also means,Accordingly, virtually anything that is recorded in any form, or anything that can be made by a person (but not usually things made by a machine or mechanical process) is protected by copyright. Copyright does not exist in names, colour, inventions or ideas, but may exist in a work expressing or composed from these concepts,so other words it means cant use that song or band or singer
