I have trued to replace the cord, but it appears the male connector is smaller than the female recepticle. is there an adapter or other means to make the plug fit tighter. I hace looked inside the phone to the female part and it is part of a circuit board ,..Thanks Ray

If the plug (male) is smaller than the socket (Female) then it's probably the wrong model. You mentioned replacing the cord - be aware that in those low voltage power connectors there are a whole bunch of sizes. - you may have picked up one that is marginally different (hence the looseness) - electronic stores (Radio shack etc) usually carry switchable supplies (You need to know whether original is 3V, 5V, 6V etc...), and size of connector, and polarity (Whether it's positive on the centre or the outside. ) ALternatively, ring 1-800-722-9125 (ATT phone customer service). IF you look at something like
Amazon com Universal AC Adapter 15V 16V 18V 18 5V 19V 19 5V 20V 22V 24V... on amazon you will see what I mean by the diversity of connectors. Unless you have the original for comparision, it might be a crapshoot (i.e. wrong connector could "smoke" the phone - ATT customer may be best option.

Is there a way to factory reset an AOC monitor?

in the manual , no monitor model told , some of this mon the service tag is not on the rear but on bottom of stand, look see it.yah odd.

the reset is in the OSD menu's of 99% of all monitors
the button is called a menu button.
what he pulled does not matter at all. it causes no damage
the test for any monitor made is this
test on a known good PC. 2nd.
and the OSD test. learn this simple art.
no PC at all tests.
1: mon power button off
2: connect mon to AC power
3: power on the monitor
4: in under 15 seconds push the OSD menu button
See it does work , now push oSD reset selection (under tools?)
if fails repeat again 1 to 4.

some of these monitors have bug in firmware,
if you set OSD inputs to auto, it gets lost if all 4 video jacks are dead.
vga, dvi , hdmi and DP
a mon, can have 1 or more jacks, do not use auto input mode.
in OSD turn it off, in fact one manual even warns you
if this MON only has one JACK(VID) do not us AUTO inputs.

Why does the battery drain while charging?

Could be a loose plug (on the inside of the cord or the phone, not that the plug is not in all the way). Keep a close eye on the battery/charging indicator on the phone, grab the plug (like you're going to pull it out), and slowly press it up, down, and sideways. If the charging indicator turns off and back on, you have a loose plug. First try a different cord. If it does it with more than one cord, it's a problem inside the phone. There is nothing you personally can do to fix it at that point, you will have to bring it in to a Sprint store for repairs.

Often the flashing lihts of router go off and reappear again, but this causes problem in internet acess. What to do?

Is there a issue with the power jack being pulled? Try to replicate the problem by "wiggling" the power cord at the the AC jack in the rear of the Linksys. I have found this to be a issue if the cord and "brick" are hanging free, it pulls on the AC jack breaking the connector.

If you have tried using different input devices, looked for loose contacts
in power outlet, RC Jack, cable and connectors, the TV might need service.

The solder at the connector may be broken loose or a circuit board could have a crack OR the jack may be broken... this is a common problem because the users trip over cables yanking the jack sideways. Take in for repair if you are not electronically adept.

Hi Scott,
Try to wiggle the input cord also the jack. If the picture come out clear then you might have a loose connection. To confirm you can swap a new cord and then hook up again. If the symptom is still there then you have a loose connection on the back of your unit (jack).
Hope it may help you.

I plug my input in and my guitar wont play on the amp unless i wiggle the cord and unplug it and plug it back in a million times

The input jack is likely broken... a COMMON problem.

To avoid this in the future, loop your guitar cable through the handle so when cord is yanked it doesn't break the jack by yanking it sideways.

Hp zv6000 batt ran down now will not charge or power up on ac power

This can be caused by a few problems, but I think yours is caused by a faulty power jack on laptop or your power adapter is no good.

Power Adapter: Plug it into the wall and notice if the light on adapter lights up or not. If it does light up, test it with a multimeter for proper voltage output. The output is labeled on the adapter sticker, an example would be "19 volts". If the adapter checks out okay then you need to look at where the adapter plugs into the laptop (power jack). If the power adapter did not check out okay, replace it.

Power jacks are known to come loose from the motherboard by the power cord being moved around from normal daily use. What happens is the jack breaks the solder joint and loses the connection. You most of the time see this problem getting worse by having to move your power cord around to get your charging light to come on.

If the computer is under warranty still, this is an issue you would turn it in for work. If it is not under warranty you are either going to need a replacement motherboard or replace/re-solder the jack (cheaper). If you are familiar with soldering circuit boards you can fix this yourself, if you are not experienced, you will have to take it into a electronics repair shop.

The jack and solder are very cheap, it is the labor that will cost you.

Hope this helps give you some direction as to where to look. Good luck.
