I am trying to revamp an older computer and I need to download a boot software
SOURCE: Dell Optiplex GX270 Driver Questions
On the Audio driver question: the answer is yes the Audio driver is what allows you to have sound.
On the DVD software, I did not see any software on Dell link. Download Windows Media, newest version is ver.11
It will allow you to watch DVDs
You can also check this site:

SOURCE: System wont boot
As much as we would love to see you beat your system this is a common issue with systems laying around commonly its a card inside that pops off the motherboard. Just coming off the width of a human hair is enought to disable the entire system. It protects against accidental shorts due to mess ups techs can do when they build systems. Just pop the side off touch mental to kill any static in you and then remove all cards you see in the system i know this sounds confusing but i can walk thu it by phone much better. 3868487115
SOURCE: replacing a cd drive
Windows Media Player 9 or later should be able to play DVDs without the need for additional drivers. If Media Player does not play your DVD, you should open up Windows Explorer and delect your DVD drive. You should see two folders (VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS) listed. If not, there is either a problem with the DVD media itself or the drive is not properly reading the disc.
SOURCE: need ethenet controller for dell dimension 8250 PLEASE ANYONE
lets try a few things
open up device manager, right click on the other device, click properties, open up the drivers page, update driver, search my computer automatically next next next, does it find the driver? if not then go back Select driver manually - advanced, do you still have the files you downloaded? direct the manual search into the download folder / where you have extracted the files, might install that way.
Let me know how that goes.
Thanks
