May someone please send the service mode specifications for a Samsung LED 40 inch TV UA40EH5000R?

I don't have service mode specifications but I do have a Samsung and looked around for how to get it in service mode some time ago because the HDMI cables somehow disconnected themselves a lot. Thought it was an electronic problem but it turned out to be a parenting problem instead SO I have never used this information and can not vouch for it. I cut and paste it from a note I copied from a forum entry to use at your discretion:
First post:
To enter "Service Mode" Press the remote - control keys in this sequence :
From Standby Info-Menu-Mute-Power On
- The buttons are active in the service mode.
Remote - Control Key : Power, Arrow Up, Arrow Down, Arrow Left, Arrow Right, Menu, Enter, Number Key(0~9)
Careful though there are things you shouldn't touch in this menu.

Another post:

Good luck. Just a basic suggestion you probably don't need: keep track of any changes made by writing them down so you can put it all back if you have to.

Samsung tv user manuals

To reset it, you have to enter its service mode option. To get it, you have to download its repair manual. User manual will not have this detail. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" or "Magazine" will make surf easy. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. Do a search by type in the brand name of your device at its search box and press "Enter".

Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.

My lcd tv wont come on but the stadby light is on ?

Hi.

The TV starts in forced standby. The state is also called "Protect Mode". Protect mode kicks in whenever an internal fault is detected. The error is detected by controller circuit and the PSU is forced in standby mode, shutting down all voltage lines apart 5VDC to keep standby on.

First try disconnecting the power cord for ten minutes, reconnect after ten minutes and restart the TV with no device connected.

If that does not help it means that there is an internal fault and that the TV must be tested and repaired replacing the defective part.

The defective part is usually the PSU. Among components that fail quite commonly there are the capacitors on the power board. If the capacitors look swollen or if there is trace of damage on PSU board, then the affected parts must be de-soldered and replaced. If there is no evidence of damage at a glance the parts must be tested using a multimeter and following schematics from service manual.

If you need to call a technician use the phone number listed on the owners manual or on the manufacturer support web page.

Regards.

LN37A550 LCD TV has washed out image

It is possible the problem is caused by a wrong option byte setting in the service menu. The correct setting depends on the type LCD panel used in that version. Version number can be found on a sticker on the right side of the television. A bad main board or TCON board can also cause that type of problem.
