SOURCE: i have a uniden bc72xlt hand scanner and after it

It sounds like you are in signal stalker mode. In this mode, the radio automatically tunes to the closest signal. If you are in this mode, you will see what looks like a "C" with a circle around it, with what looks like the outer edges of a + sign behind it. Press "function" and "hold" repeatedly until this icon disappears from the screen.

For more information, you can download the complete operators manual from Uniden. The link is:

Hope this helps! Good luck!

Scanner suddenly stopped scanning, red light shines on UPC but nothing happens

Unplug the scanner, then power it on again. If it reads once and then stops, it is a configuration error such as bad cable or wrong settings in register. If it doesn't read straight after power up, try scanning the 'start' barcode in the scanner's programming manual. It should always be able to read this code. If it reads it, you have a setting fault in the scanner and you need to re-program it to read UPC and EAN codes again. If it reads none of the above codes after power up, have it checked by a dealer

Wand Scanner - panscn08 buttons do nothing

Yes follow the first steps to set up the scanner (charge it, properly insert the memory card, etc.) Then you are ready to scan
Once you press the SCAN button and the Green LED stays lit its time to roll the scanner down your document to be scanned. When finished press the Scan button again to STOP the scan. If successful your Document count in the display will move from 000 to 001. That is the only indication that you now have a successful scan.
Next Press and hold the SCAN button until the display goes blank.
Now you can remove the memory card (by pushing in and it will release). Place this memory card into a memory card reader on your computer to transfer and view your scanned documents. Rinse and repeat.
BTW, I found a quick start guide for this Pandigital Handheld Wand Scanner Model PANSCN08 at:

Is there a wia driver for Windows 7 for the Kodak i65 Scanner?

Well I too HAD this problem. Upgraded to Win7 64 bit and was unable to install the existing 32 bit drivers (of course) that operate in WinXP and Vista. Called Kodak and there wonderful answer was Buy a New Scanner.

Well this was just not an option. SO I searched and searched for alternatives, to creating a WinXP Virtual machine with VMPlayer or VirtualBox to remote controlling an older WinXP laptop connected to the scanner. None were solutions I felt I could live with.

Then I found VueScan at www.hamrick.com. A small chea scanning software that you can try before you buy. I read through everything on the site including the specific scanner notes for the Kodak I65, then downloaded the trial version.

Once installed you follow the instructions from the site to use VueScans own driver to run the Kodak scanner and lo and behold I got my ORIGINAL Kodak scanner menu to work on Win7 64bit. Then I used the VueScan software to scan a document and it worked like a charm. Albeit with the VueScan watermark.

Now I could have stopped there and called it a success, but I then, tried scanning with my Nitro PDF Pro software and was amazed to get a Perfect scan without the watermark.

Now NOTE, I did not buy the VueScan software at this time, as I don't need it's ability. I just used their driver and driver installation instructions from the website specifically for the Kodak I65. Most likely going to buy the basic version of the software anyway, as I think the guy deserves something for saving my EXPENSIVE I65 from becoming a paperweight.

An Elegant and Complete solution to Kodak's total support failure!

Most of the time my Nikon 5000 works well. Recently I encounter the following problem. After several normal scans the program stops after the physical scan. (can hear from the scanner movment.) Nothing...

Hi, I have the same problem. I am running on the same computer with the same software Nikon Scan without problems. Found out that the problem happens mostly when a crop is selected that just eliminates the scanning frame. Without crop mostly OK. However no reason why and no real solution

Just bought this scanner used and having problems with Banks 3 and 4

while the scanner is scanning press buttons 3 and 4 and they should start scanning too, if they dont then go to the first channel in bank 3 manually and press LO to unlock it, then hit manual again to go to the next channel and press LO again to unlock it( all of the channels in the bank are probably either locked out or empty(nothing programmed into them)

Scanned documents are very light

I have found that when scanning b/w documents, its helpful to start with a black and white copy, not a grayscale, pen written, or printed form a printer in grayscale mode copy, but a true black and white on the copier or fax copy. The scanner doesnt read shades of black so well and when scanning multiple page documents, my pixma tends to scan in lightly. I havent found a piece of software to do just this, batch darken what has been scanned (at least not for free). Copying before scanning is the work around. Hope this helps everyone who's had this problem. It also doesnt hurt to darken what your scanning down a notch when copying

Canon DR-2580C Scanner

You must have 'checked' the multipage option in the scanning software. Try scanning first page only and store as say temp1 and later all pages as temp2. If the file size is different you can deduce that the scanner has scanned all pages! To view multipage files, you need a proper software.

Scanning way

I found the solution:
The scanner by default send data without suffix or prefix. If anyone wants to have CRLF after the scanned data, he must set the scanner to send sufix after the data.
Read the page 5-78 in the manual :)
