During washing there was a general power failure in the are. After that the WFK 2831 stopped and there are no lights indication in the front panel other than the main power button.

Thanks! I found this online, which shows how to run tests on the washer to see what might be wrong, which helped, too. Now if i can just find a few muscly people to help me move the dryer from atop the washer.
