I have a Sony Vaoi laptop and a couple of days ago it decided it just doesn't want to connect to any we pages except Google and my gmail and hotmail accounts. My connection is fine as my iPad and iPhone both use the same network. Every time I go to BBC.co.uk or eBay.co.uk the page goes blank except the message 'No site configured at this address'. This happen to all the web pages I try to go to except a few sites such as goggle.co.uk. Also it takes she's to load up a page. I'm sure it's some sort of virus (partner18) I think, but my antivirus software hasn't found anything (I use Microsoft security essentials). Please please please can someone help me as I cannot get any work done. Thanks

Try This,
Go to the command line and while connected to your modem type the following:
(Wait for each command to finish)
c:> ipconfig /release
c:> ipconfig /renew
c:> ipconfig /flushdns
c:> ipconfig /registerdns
Then attempt to browse one of the sites you were having trouble with.
If that does not fix the problem, then you will need to disable Norton Internet Security temporarily to see if that is causing your problems.
I'll check back to see how you made out.
Let me know how you made out.

Try avgfree.com I have found norton to be a pain in the a*** at the best of times, or even atwil.com and download avast free security suite both very good and free.
