I have just bought a very old Singer 306K pedal machine. Unfortunally they have put a very old Singer motor on many years ago. I want to convert it back into pedal for that is what I want (Power Failures). It havent worked for past about 15 years. What can I use to get rid of all the old oil and where can ZI get a Manual for it please

SOURCE: old singer sewing machine (306k) motor works, belt

Apply a little singer machine oil to each of the holes along the top and in the working area next to needleplate.........rock handwheel gently and make several full rotations in each direction ......... keep at the rocking and rolling periodically over several hours if necessary....it should come good after a little patience and persistence. Do not apply too much oil, it will only make a mess. NOTE: Belt needs a little give to prevent motor overload, so do not overtighten.

Bobbins for singer 306k sewing machine

You can find your bobbin--as well as your bobbin case and other accessories and parts--at Sewing Parts Online. Just select Singer parts on the left hand side, and enter your model number in the search box, and it will take you right there. They also sell the foot pedal, needle plate, and a lot of other parts for your machine as well.

I bought a Singer 328K at a second hand shop. I cleaned and oiled it but the motor just hums and runs very slowly. I think the belt may need tightened or replaced. Is it possible to do it myself and...

The Singer 328K "style-o-matic" is a Class 66 sewing machine with a solid handwheel. Like the 328, and most style 66 machines, this one takes Singer Motor Belt # 193077. Any singer vendor should be able to help you and as of this writing (2010) the part runs around $10. In case you have a parts machine around or find vendors less knowledgeable here are some other machines using the same belt: Pfaff 330 Series Singer 127 Singer 128 Singer 15-88 Singer 15-90 Singer 15-91 Singer 185 Singer 185K3 Singer 206 Singer 206K Singer 223 Singer 27 Vibrating Shuttle Singer 306K Singer 306W Singer 319K Singer 327K Singer 327K Singer 328K Style-O-Matic (YOURS) Singer 329K Singer 66 Singer 66-1 Singer 66-14 Singer 66-16 Singer 66-18 Singer 66-24 Singer 66-4 Singer 66-6 Singer 66-8 Singer 99 Class Singer 99-13 Singer 99-31 Singer 99K
