SOURCE: no operating system found

sounds like the hard drivemag-glass_10x10.gif has either taken a dump and is not working or maybe the connection to it has been lost. Either way I think you have hard drive problems. When booting keep an eye out for where the hard drives are detected and see if the computer sees the hard drive.

SOURCE: operating system not found on my laptop

ok i have had this problem.. (my computer would show the loading screen with all of the commands at the bottom. after this it would not boot up, but show a message on a black screen saying "operating system not found")
I completly tore down the laptop and making sure i had no issues with anything. so here is what i did that is simple and ended up solving the issues 3 times in a row.

1. take the cover off for the hard drive on the bottom of the laptop ( shows 3 very small disks beside each screw)

2. grab the clear strip that is on the hard drive and pull out the hard drive. ( blow out where it connects on the right side if dirty)

3. Reconnect the hard drive this will reset it.

4. Make sure to change back the processes to defaults when the computer starts back up.. If you fail to do so you will have to repeat the process each time you turn off the computer.

(This will only work if you messed up some settings while having the computer on, and not if you have faulty parts.)
for me i ctrl alt deleted and accidentally ended some important processes..

any other issues just email me at [email protected] i will try to help you out. =D

Insert boot disc error on hp pavillion a622n

Boot disc error indicates that your computer is unable find any Operating system to boot up. Go to BIOS settings and figure out if your BIOS detects your hard drive. If so, format your hard drive and install an operating system.

I would love to hear from you in regards to this concern.

HI there,
The "Error" texts saying:
PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
PXE-MOF: Exiting Intel Boot Agent.
Are completely normal. This simply states that there is no external cables plugged into the specialty inputs on your toshiba laptop.

The "operating system not found" is stating that your existing hard drive is either A) dead or B) been erased.

Try to re-install your operating system, if it finds no hard drive, you'll need a new one!

it's trying to boot up from the network instead of from your harddrive. It could mean that it's unable to find your harddrive. One thing to check is the BIOS settings for the boot option - make sure the harddrive boots BEFORE it tries to boot from network.
Once you turn on your laptop it will tell you what to press to get in to the bios to change these options (could be either F1, F2, F10, DEL or maybe even something else) Once in the BIOS look for BOOT OPTIONS

Vaio error message

This generally indicates a hard drive failure, but occasionally it's just an operating system glitch. Start by doing a system repair with your recovery or operating system disc. If the repair doesn't take, then reformat the hard drive and install a fresh operating system. If you have any problems during or after the format or install, then the hard drive has failed and will need replaced.
