I have a 2nd gen ipod nano and it cannot be recognized by my computer. I have tried resetting my ipod, uninstalling and reintalling USB drives, and everything else on the apple website but I cannot fix the problem.
When I plug my ipod into my computer it comes up with "Device Not Recognized" and when I try and troubleshoot the problem it says that the "Unknown Device" has no driver, what can I do??

I've updated itunes to the latest one from the apple site and I'm running XP, still won't recongize??? Going Insane
I transferred music from my PC to my new ipod nano (2G) and some of the music files were apparently incompatable and locked up the nano. After I deleted all the files off the nano and begin getting an error messge on my PC indicating the device was no longer recognizable and no driver could be located for the device. How do I reset, i.e. get the proper drivers put back on and get my PC to recognize the device once again? My PC operating system is Windows XP Pro/
I was having no problem syncing my iPod nano with iTunes, but suddenly my computer won't recognize when the iPod is connected via the usb cable -- it just doesn't show up as a device or listed on the iTunes page. Obviously, I've checked my connections. Funny thing is, it does charge up while connected -- I just can't update it. Any help seriously appreciated!

Same problem here. PC all of a sudden stopped recognizing my nano. Still charges but thats it. Uninstalled Itunes and reinstalled with latest...deleted all songs on nano thinking that would help. Tried all suggestions on the Apple website. Nothing works
