The circuit board was shorted; melting some pathways. it's cheaper to replace then attempt a repair. i already replaced with wire soldered in its place. no go. something else sparked. the motor worked for 1-2 seconds. it's new (2-3 years). if it cost less then $100; it's worth it to me. i bought it off season $150 below retail.($100)worked great till i messed up. also no luck on internet finding anything on parts.

I too have a GE Profile Harmony (Gas) Dryer that had started vibrating and making a loud noise. I removed the screws that held the filter and grill to the inside of the door frame and placed a mirror inside so I could see down inside the fan. I found that a softner sheet had somehow gotten around the filter screen and had lodged in the blades of the fan and had collected a fairly large amount of fine lint. The combination of the dryer sheet and the lint had created an out of balance condition that caused the dryer to vibrate and make noise (the forward cabin door has been closed and we're ready for takeoff!) I used a bent coat hanger as a hook and using the mirror to aim the hanger, I hooked the dryer sheet and pulled it out through the hole for the filter.
I hope I'm not too late to help you if indeed this is your same problem.

Your dispensor board , has lost communication to the main control board . You will need to replace the board , which is located behind the refrig , behind the 8 " X 10 " , small panel . The pt # is WR55X10942 . You do NOT need to replace the board on the dispensor . The board behind the refrig , is , easily replaceable .
