How to blur background in fuljifilm finepix s2980??? Plz tell me as i want to click pictures urgently .

Background blur is a consequence of a shallow depth of field, meaning that the distance where things are in focus is a small area in front of you. Closer, it's blured. Further and is blured too.

Backbround blur can be obtained with:

  1. using a big aperture - you can't change the aperture on the Finepix, as it hasn't a diaphragma, but a ND filter.
  2. using a long lens - that means you have to use the biggest zoom you can with your camera
  3. close subject and distant background - when you use a longer lens, the depth of field get shallow, so you have to garantee that the background is out of the zone where everything is on focus.

To whom it may concern, Slightly blurred red/pinkish LCD screen when camera is switched on. If I look at pic's taken before this happened they look ok on LCD screen. 1 week ago I switched the camera on...

Do the pictures still look this way when they are downloaded to your computer or just when played back on the camera screen? Was the camera exposed to high heat (like being left in a hot car)?

Sporatically, my pictures come out all "runny". The colors are pinkish and they "run". It looks like what happens if a printed piece of paper from an ink jet printer gets wet and the colors all blur...

Hi dear, first of all check the camera setting .
Is it set on a long shutter mode.
Are there any good photo , if not the camera will be R.I.P.

Actions shots are blured

The various solutions include:

try to set focus range (settings), to infinity or to an approximate distance to the object you need to take a photo of as sometimes the automatic setting does not always do a godd job at focusing , or look at the lens when it is on if its got grease use a wet camera lens cleaning kit (someone touched the glass of the lens ) a s grease makesa it hard for the camera to focus , hence blurrig or go into your options and lower the iso mode or take it off night node if any as the iso mode leads to high exposure time which means any light that changes would record as a smear hence blurring or use flash.

Pinkish screen and green blurred picture

Sounds like the image sensor is malfunctioning (common symptoms: distorted images with purple or green cast, completely dark images, flickering lines across the screen.)
