JBL flip only plays while connecting to the mains

JBL flip after using for 6 months doesnt charge and needs to be plugged in to the AC mains all the time . Pls help

Seems the battery has gone bad prematurely. Charging circuits have to be good since the unit works fine off the adapter plugged into the mains.

What is causing my JBL Flip to cut in and out? The effect is much like a vinyl recording that skips. Does it on battery or when plugged in.

If the battery is failing even when the AC adapter is plugged in the voltage will be low, this is likely what is causing this symptom.
