Picture jumps from full to zoom, have reset to factory defaults, used WEGA gate to readjust picture size to 4:3 normal, setting for normal to zoom will not stay on normal. Using same satellite receiver for three years, ???? Suggestions to get picture size to stop jumping?
Check for a stuck button on the remote.

You either have failed 24vdc power supply section or failed backlight inverter board, check for 24vdc first, look for caps with leaking/bulging top.

assuming you all have comcast and using an hdmi cable
first access menu (hit it twice) and go to set picture format, choose passthrough....or in your case auto hdmi
then turn box off, press guide and info on the front of the box, proceed through the setup, advanced is more in depth..lol...
select 1080, 720, and then either the standard or widescreen 480s to your liking.....
voila....
now check your tv settings to accommodate

While holding down the UP arrow key, press the power button. The TV will turn off and back on and reset to factory default settings. Hope this helps
