TV worked fine yesterday, clear weather, won't turn on today and the green light is blinking continuosly. Have tried the reset button, holding the menu button for 10 seconds, unplugging set for 20 minutes and holding power button for 10 seconds.

Hit the front of the tv near the blinking light... give it a good rap or two. See if this helps. Helped mine. I had the same problem and the tech who came out to the house told me that it would work and it did! I could hardly believe it but it worked.
Lets try an error code operational checl. Unplug the tv and plug it back in. With the standby LED on press and hold the MENU and DEVICE/INPUT buttons for 5 seconds. The LED will flash a certain number of times pause for a while and blink again. Count the blinks before and after the pass, then post it here so that I can tell you what the problem is
green green is power on, normal
then it tries to light the lamp, but it can't so the protection circuit comes activated.
you get red and green blinking
Then it goes to standby, red and off.
so something has happened to the lamp, or lamp ballast power supply.
Take the lamp out and check if all is OK with the 2 terminals in the connector, and the leads to the lamp are intact.
Failing that, I would suspect the ballast lamp power unit
It's not the bulb. Google Mitsubishi WD-73737 blink codes. The blinking light is a self diagnostic tool and each blink code represents a certain problem.
If you have a green blinking LED that runs continuosly, its the widespread problem of failures of capacitors on several circuit boards in the TV. Currently Mits is having authorized service centers remove the chassis and send it them for rebuilding. Its an expensive and time consuming repair.
You need to change 4capacitors inside the dm module- if you have any electronics experience, this is an eazy/meduim job- if not, take it to a shop and have them change out the caps.
Either bad capacitors -vented - on power supply board or bad E2P eprom board on DM board.Probably the capacitors-4-1000Ufd and 2-3300ufd.You should get expert help from reputable tv shop. Not really do it yourself fix either way.
Thats a very common problem and very easy to fix. If your model is the WS65513 you need the Kit called V23 DM repair kit. You can get it at the following link which includes the parts and the Instruction CD that documents the repair step by step with pictures. Its listed under the repair kit category.
