Most likely the flyback assembly, and or the horizontal output transistor failed. There is also a possiblity of some other faults that are putting the power supply in to the protect mode.

If there is a scan failure, it is possible that there is also some damage in the power supply.

The set will have to be serviced by a TV service tech.

squeeky wheel sound and turns off. as there is no light also. please check components in horizontal section. it is a simple problem can fixed at your at home easily Do I need a new T.V.? NO now choice is yours good luck
