Just repaired code 136 on a 2013 chevy Orlando and it was a detached ground wire on one of the starter bolts causing the fusebox relays not to energise.

The ECM (Engine Control Module) monitors the oxygen sensor's voltage and determines if the exhaust is running lean or rich. It is the ECM's job to increase or decrease fuel injection input according to the engine's fuel/air ratio, reported by the oxygen sensor. When the exhaust is running lean (not enough oxygen), the oxygen sensor's voltage will be too low. If the ECM detects that the voltage is too low for an extended period of time (the length of time varies depending on the make and model of the vehicle), it will set the P0136 code.

Does po 136 code goes away when problem is fixed or you have to cliear it?

If you are referring to the engine error codes for a fault. The codes need to be cleared with a good quality OBD2 diagnostic code reader.

2004 mazda tribute error code p 0 136

Code 136 is for a problem with the O2 sensor bank one sensor two.
That is the sensor after the catalytic converter.
The sensor or the wiring would need to be checked.

FORD FOCUS CODES 136; 491; 1131

You might want to search for more info online - - code 136 and 1131 are for O2 sensor problems. Code 491 is for secondary air injection flow out of range. The EGR system controls the emissions in the exhaust by injecting air into the exhaust. The computer is not "seeing" the O2 sensor(s) switch back and forth and there is a problem with the secondary air flow. The air flow problem could cause the other two codes. I think the 491 and 1131 are Ford specific codes.

O2 sensor trouble code

420 and 136 codes are O2 sensors. 420 is the downstream (aft of converter) should be sending a constant reading. 136 is the up-stream and should be sending a flux reading.
