Whirlpool microwave model mh7140xf fuse replacement

My whirlpool microwave hasn't worked sice powers outage. Is there usually a reset button or fuse, somewhere

The pop sound is an indicator the magnetron is gone that heats the food. It is cheaper to replace the microwave oven than have it repaired.

buy a new microwave some thing else could of damaged the pcb.

your microwaves internal ceramic safety fuse is blown most hdwg stores carry them they're a 15 or 20 amp fuse,dont replace w/any other type of fuse,but first find out why oven blew the fuse

Hi, there are three issues that will cause a no heat situation in a microwave. these issue are a failed Magnetron, busted cut-off fuse and, failed diode.

I recommend checking all these area that are located inside the microwave for faults.

The most common issue will be a failed Magnetron.

The diode and, fuse will be located on the noise filter assembly.

I had a similar problem with my Whirlpool microwave. I replaced a fuse (after reading posts in this forum) and it's working again.  I'm not sure how similar your model is, but in my case it was an in-line fuse in a wire leading down from the main fuse in the upper right corner behind the control panel.

Buy a new one. Microwaves have enough stored voltage/amperage to boil your blood. You should not be taking off the cover.

does it not light up at all? A microwave has a fuse on it. Probably accessible from the back panel. if not you would need to disassemble it. Most likely cause of this is slamming the door broke one of the safety switches the door has so the microwave knows when the door is open. And it shorted against something when it broke. It might have simply blew the fuse but then again you might have fried it.
