How to reset lexmark e260 chip

Go to any website that sells bulk ink and toner refills. They have chip resetters. You need to do this every time you refill . It cannot be bypassed.

I went to put a new toner in my Lexmark T520 and it won't print now it comes up with incompatibility in the window...how do I fix this?

Did you replace the toner cartridge with a Lexmark new or factory refurbished cartridge?

If not, then more than likely that's your problem. Lexmark put smart chips in the cartridges that prevents there re-use unless these chips were either replaced or scrubbed clean.

If this is a factory new or refurbished cartridge, contact Lexmark.

Won't recognize print cartridge

Refilling cartridges is somewhat of an art. Usually these cartridges have what is known as a smart chip. This chip detects print ink usage (how many times paper was printed, how much ink volume was printed ect.... When this runs out it usually will act just like you are describing. As a test what I would suggest you try is go buy a new cartridge from best buy, Wal-Mart, ect... see if the printer starts working again. If the printer does work well again I would defiantly see about getting your money back. There is a way to reset this smart data but they usually have to do it. In my experience I have never been happy with refills but if someone who is doing it knows the proper way to do it right then I am all for it. It never hurts to save some money. Let me know your results as this could defiantly help someone else with your same problem out.

Ink Cartridge quits printing after being refilled

Hello,
When you refill cartridges especially with manufactures such as Lexmark, HP, Cannon, etc. they put something on the bottom of the cartridge called a 'Smart Chip' this tells the printer how much ink is left, when the cartridge runs out of ink if you use that cartridge at all it tells the printer its out of ink. They do make devices to reset the Smart Chip but vary depending on the type of printer. The Smart Chips do wareout, and thus might give you a lot of problems, and all of this depends on the use of the cartridge.

Epson stylus cx4800 won't print

Hi, reason we sell epson printers are they are the cheapest to run, but they do get alot of problems with the print heads, if you change from using refill ink kits to compatible ink cartridges you would not have to reset the chip each time, otherwise you will have to change to a more expensive to run printer like the HP, or Lexmark, lexmark is the most expensive for cartridges but it has the print heads built into the cartridge and not the printer itsself, epson only have the chip on the cartridge.
You can use the refill kits on most HP & Lexmark without having to reset the cartridge all you need to do is refill it.
but for every 3 for example you may have to buy a new cartridge which will be more expensive, ie if you get lines through your print, as the print head will probably get blocked on cartrdige.

Happy New Year
