I have an LG WFT653A washing machine and it won't fill with cold water so have to use a hot wash only but then it won't fill at all for the rinse as it is programed to only use cold always for the rinse normally. Anyway, a friend opened it up and swapped the solanoids (?) over but was still getting the same problem so they both must work but not in the cold side. Anyway, could it be something wrong with the cold inlet valve (if there is such a thing) that could be replaced by a whole new valve/solanoid system or is there another computer bit somewhere inside that it could be?? I don't want to buy a replacement valve/solanoid system thing if it doesn't fix the problem.
Thanks for your help. I am just a housewife winging it to save some dollars.

1.) unscrew your cold water conection from the rear of your wash, there will be a little mesh wire thimble in the threaded pipe going into your washer, 2.) remove it and clean it its is most likely clogged, 3.) replace it and put it back together, 4.) enjoy the rinse cycle!!
