Your problem is common because there are so many products on the market these days.

That said, you can purchase one truly universal remote that will absolutely control all of your devices. Go to any TV/electronics store, even a radio shack and take a look at these. Don't be surprised by their price tags, as they are usually in the $100. range.

SOURCE: Cox Cable Remote wont program to my Sylvania LC320ss8 tv.

there are different codes for the devices that you are using. When you want to insert the code for the tv. > Switch tv on and then switch all the other devices off. Insert code. For digi box > switch on and all other devices off. Insert code for digibox. You must then switch between tv and digi box using the buttons on the top of the remote. Toggle between tv/ digi box.

Have a go with the codes below with the tv and the digibox both on, you never know you might get lucky as these are new codes, if not revert back to 1st solution.

Universal Codes (both should work using these, i think!!!!! try 'em)

002,
008,
155,
198,
227,
231

Here are the codes for the 1st solution.

Good Luck,

Hughie.

Make sure your TV is set to Cable (Manually), Then with you TV on, hold the cable button down, and keep pressing the power button, till the TV shuts off...this should set your remote to cable mode! When you turn back on, press cable button then power!

You may have to repeat the steps, for the TV to come back on, to re-program your remote!

I have a viore tv dvd combo need codes for it

You probably have the same problem that I found after I'd purchased my Viore TV (LC 26VF59), your cable box remote or dish network remote doesn't have the Viore codes built in. Bummer. I looked around and couldn't find codes for my Viore. Doubt you'll find them for yours. Here's a helpful suggestion I read about that works for me:

I bought for $20.00 a Sony RM-VL600 Easy Learn remote control from my electronics store. It's EZ because you only have to place the Sony head to head with the Viore remote, press TV setup and follow Sony's instructions to have its remote catch and learn the codes from your Viore remote. I only programmed my Sony for the Power On/Off, Vol Up/Down from my Viore remote. You back out of Setup and now your Sony will control the TV for those functions. Next you get your cable box or satellite remote put it head to head with the Sony remote, press the CABLE or SATELLITE set-up button on the Sony and then have it learn all the C or S functions you want from that remote. You do program in this mode the Power On/Off button, but you don't program the Vol Up/Down. The volume for the TV will work when you're all finished and operating under the Cable or Satellite button on the Sony remote.

Now, you press the TV button on the Sony and then the Power button. The TV turns on. Now you press the Cable or Sat button and then the Power button and the Cable or Sat box turns on. Like I said, even though now you are operating the Sony remote under the Cable or Sat button the TV volume instructions carry over to this side of the remote so you don't have to switch back to the TV button to raise or lower volume of the TV.

When I'm done watching, I hit the Power off and the cable box turns off. I then hit the TV button and again the Power off button and the TV turns off. So, it's a little inconvenient when starting and stopping, but at least you are using only one remote.

Hope this has helped.

The cable guy programmed the cable remote to turn on/off the TV. We used it to turn the TV to stand-by. Then pushed the power button on the TV to turn the power off. Haven't been able to turn the TV on...

First use the original remote control that came with your tv, or just manually turn it on at the tv itself to bes sure it is working. If it works you should call the tech support for the cable company to program their remote control to a different code - or put it back to to factory state and just use two remotes.

Program bell expressvu remote for new tv

The easiest way is to do device code scan. Since you want to program the TV, hold the TV button on your bell expressvu remote. When all the top buttons light up, press the power button, the TV button light should remain lit. Keep pressing up/down until your TV turns off. When your TV turns off, press the # button. Thats all. Your done.

If you want to set up the AUX button, hold the AUX button until all the buttons light up. Then press * and either

0 - second TV
1 - second VCR/DVD player
2 - audio amplifier or cable box

Then press the power button and press up/down until the device turns off. The last step is to press # and your done.
