If problem persist when opening multiple tabs, your RAM (random access memory) might be failing or is cluttered by a virus or program. If there is not enough memory available, the screen will go crazy or have a hard time coming on. Next you can check your video card if its not an integrated one. You may need to use a cheap used card to make sure that it is not a video card problem.

When I go to a website that has a dark or black background, the monitor goes black completely. When I change to a website that has a lighter colored background, all is well.

The driver may need to be updated. You can update the driver by doing one of the following:

Method 1:
Navigate to the manufacturers website
Locate the support section
Search for updated driver using product model or serial number

Method 2:
(using windows)
Open control panel
Click on Hardware and Sound
Under Devices and Printers click on Device Manager
Enter Admin credentials if prompted
Click the drop down tab for monitors Under monitors right click each device under The monitor section and select Update Driver Software...

Also, ensure (if using Windows) that Windows Update is set to automatically install updates and drivers as they become available

If using windows use this link for additional help: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/15048/windows-7-update-driver-hardware-not-working-properly.

Monitor is slow coming on then when on website clicking out of second tab flashes black

1. Verify the monitor's power cord is plugged firmly into the wall outlet and the back of the monitor.
2. Verify the monitor cable is firmly connected to the computer and the monitor.
3. Verify that you have turned the monitor power switch on.
4. If the power light on the monitor is not on, test the wall outlet (plug in a light or something you know works).
5. If the power light on the monitor is not on, try a different power cord.
6. If the power light is on and yellow or flashing, but nothing displays, borrow a monitor from a friend. If that works, your monitor probably needs replaced.

My monitor slows down

Sounds like an issue with you PC not the monitor.

Try updating your display/graphics card drivers.

Edwards,

What you mean by replaced the fuse? Are you replaced the capacitors on the AC Adapter. If so, Then it's not the only problems. The main problems is the backlight inverter needed to be replaced. Go check out my website @ www.3rd-rocks.com

Wertical blue lines on monitor resolution only 640x480 if is higher monitor is black.

Download the drivers for your video card from the mauafacturer website while in 640x480. Try and install the software. If this don't work right click on "My Computer" click "Properties" click on the "Hardware" tab then click on "Device Manager" you will need to find your video card and uninstall it then reinstall the new software. If this does not solve your issue you should pick-up another card and install it with software included in box.
Hope this helps.

Flashes on then goes black

The green light only lets you know there is a valid video signal reaching the monitor. If the green light was not "on" your problems would possibly be within the pc itself. Something is not holding the circuit for the backlight "on" thus going black. Suggestions are: 1. Take it to get it repaired (if not under warranty) Hyundai carries a 3 yr warranty on this monitor. Website provided. 2. Buy a new monitor http://www.hyundaiq.com/Eng/Customer/CusSvc/Csvc.asp
