Sounds like a power supply issue possibly bad caps. You can get replacement power supplies from www.tvrepairworld.com just hit the contact us button on their website to leave a email with your model number if you dont see your model listed.
the green light blinking is normal if set has been unplugged--when set is plugged back it should blink for about 70 seconds and then go out--then you can try to turn it on---it is the DM unit inside the set booting up.
If the light just blinks and never stops you have likely bad caps in the DM unit---there are kits available for that.
The other possible reason is that so called reset switch may be bad--fairly easy way to find that out and it is more common than you would think, let me know if you have questions.
May I know if the unit won't power up, has a three blinking led light at the front panel? Also, please check if the grinding noise is near the lamp assembly.
hi welcome to fixya
i want to clarify first the problem sir so as of now the problem with your tv won't power on then you are using again the old main board is that right ? when you use the new replacement main board the tv is functioning will the only problem is that the HDMI / DVI inputs doesn't work. and now you encountered power supply problem like won't start up or something that cut the supply in which the stand by indicator is turn off so as my idea it has a problem with the old board. but before you come up with the board making sure all the connectors coming from the power supply is properly connected to the main board as will as flexible and lvds cable for the T-con board is properly inserted.just let me know if is that what you are asking for so i can give you additional solution thanks for consulting the fixya.
good day
if the tv won't power up then just only a blinking light from the indicator, you will need to check the power supply first. you can apply the visual checking usually bulging capacitors at the secondary filter capacitor of the power supply they are leak which need replacement. sample of bulged capacitor
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capacitor_plague . you can find replacement at www.digikey.com. now after you replaced defective capacitors turn on the tv unit then check all the out put voltage if normal the 5v stand by. 5v switched, 12v, and 24v for inverter ballast now if those voltage are stable i'm pretty sure your tv unit will working fine.
Your power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
This sounds like the main power board went bad. If this is still under warranty, contact 1-877-MYVIZIO and they will have it repaired for you. if not, let me know and I will guide you to the right part.
