Computers not sensing scanner via LAN

I have a 2005 HP Pavilion Notebook running on XP & my wife has a new HPG60-243CL Notebook. We formerly printed & scanned with our HPOfficejet Pro L7650 through a USB cable and everything worked fine. Then we installed a new Lynksys WRT54G2 VI router and put it all onto a local area network so that we could print and scan without swapping the USB cable. Printing via ethernet cable and router now works fine for both of us, but our computers sense no connection to the scanner and vice-versa.

Please help us scan using our new router. Thanks!

Scanning over network usually requires software to connect. First go to the drivers page as below. Windows Vista | Windows XP, download the latest drivers (the Full Feature one) as well as the firmware update for the OfficeJet. Plus the "Update" files that's dated newer than the Drivers.
Upgrade the firmware (this will reset all custom settings in the OfficeJet like IP address) with a USB connection.
Run the full feature installer and if there is an option for Networked OfficeJet, then tick it. Also you may need to change/disable firewall for the installer to pick up the networked OfficeJet.
Scanning over the network usually connects with a customized TCP port. And most likely the Windows "Scanners and Cameras" will not pick up network scanners unless it's been defined manually (installer can do this part).

Hp pavilion ethernet port is not appearing in devices

You didn't supply the HP's Model? Did it come with Win 7? Was it upgraded? If you go to the HP drivers and support website, using your model, download the Correct driver for your OS and Device, install, the driver software it will locate the device via the Hardware ID, and apply the driver. That's if the device is funtional. It may be a bad component? I don't know how old the machine is, components fail. The driver is a likely place to start.

My Hp pavilion tx2000 cant play audio files, cant connect to net

Hi James

First, Sound drivers:
HP Pavilion tx2000 CTO Notebook Realtek High-Definition Audio Driver 6.0.1.5494 A from HP notebook
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp38001-38500/sp38206.exe

and video drivers..
HP Pavilion tx2000z CTO Notebook NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 Video Driver 7.15.11.5682 A
http://notebook.free-driver-download.com/url.php?id=TlRJeE5Eaz0&link=0

Now network:
HP Pavilion tx2000 CTO Notebook NVIDIA nForce Chipset/Network Driver 5.53 A
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp38001-38500/sp38205.exe

and wireless!
This is an older WIFI driver that only works in XP, and in certain HP Pavilions, but try it.
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp36501-37000/sp36684.exe

and this is the Vista one that is correct for your laptop, it probably doesn't work in XP but if all else fails, you could try it. (You should really run Vista on it, I reckon)-----------------
