Are you connected to a cable box or satalite rcvr using compoment outputs (y,pr,pb)? It is posible that the red cable has come loose and picture has no red, causing a mostly blue picture.

SOURCE: Blue streaks and faint blue blotches on screen

The Optical Block / Light Engine is the problem. Very expensive repair / over $1000

Testimonial: "Optical block was the problem and has been replaced and TV is like new. Thank you for your response."

SOURCE: Picture is not as clear, brought 2005. Has blue color on lower right side of screen.

You may want to do some research with the model number via Google--"problems"

The set indicated here is LCD rear projection--it uses a OPTICAL LIGHT ENGINE and a lamp= lamp shines into the engine and goes thru a series of lens and baffles and emerges from a 2-3 inch wide lens at top of engine--shines it into a mirror at the rear of set which places the picture on the screen.

The first place the very bright and hot lamp hits inside the engine is the BLUE SECTION----damage occurs and you get blue streaks or area anywhere on picture.

Damage is permanent and only way is to replace 800 + engine.

You might want to at least call Sony with the model number as they were extending the warranty (beyond original) on several models and repairing or replacing sets outright.

They were not doing this because they wanted to but because of several class action lawsuits they settled in this way.

The Color On My Mitsubishi Rear Projection Tv model- WS-55908 looks to be off, picture looks blue and Yellow.

its sounds like the convergence on your TV needs to be adjusted. (this adjusts all of the color guns in the back of the tv to line them up again, when they get off, you start to get yellow blue or red halos around objects in the picture. In the setup menu on your TV under picture or Display there will be an item that says "convergence" follow the instructions in there so all the crosses on the screen no longer have colored halos anymore.

・ Press and select Picture | Settings to adjust the Hue and Saturation settings. You can also select
Picture | Advanced to adjust the Color Temperature settings.
・Connect the TV to another computer and check if the problem is with the computer screen.

Other than that there is no mention of color adjustment
