Sharp R-1750 I have my Sharp R-1750 microwave for 6 years. Recently the screen stopped working. All symbols gradually disappear and then after a while (a couple of days) it goes to a blank screen. The microwave still works but the screen does not. When I unplug and then plug the microwave back in, the screen works and then soon stops working again. Thank you very much for your solution. I have the same problem. I took it apart and it seems to be a loose connection between the lcd panel circuit and an intermediate side mounted board. It is a very thin ribbon cable black on one side and with white on the other w/ adhesive connections on the ends. I wiggled the bottom end of the cable and the lcd came back for brief moments. This has to be an easy fix or people would not do it for $39 including shipping. I have the same problem.
