USB cable the USB cable that came with the camera, stopped working. I purchased a new USB replacement cable, I turn the camers, it indicate PC, but my digital sofTWARE is not responding. What shall I do!

    When you say you purchased a replacement cable, did you get one of the special Pentax "Super" USB cables, or just a generic one?

depending on what computer you have you can take the card out of the cam and put it in the "CARD READER" if you have it, most store bought desk tops have them and just about ANY LOPTOP made today has them on the side or front of unit, or if you printer has a "card reader" you can print them that way...HOWEVER you will need to write down the ones you want to print unless you a a viewer lcd screen on the printer

If this problem occurs on multiple PCs then we recommend you use remove the camera's SD card and insert it into a SD Card reader/writer. The PC should recognize the reader/writer and you will then have access to the files on the card.

My new Canon G11, purchased in August,2010: 1) The camera cord (to load photos from camera to computer) is no longer interfacing, but the card works (I don't think it is the software as it malunctions on...
It sounds to me like one or more of the wires in the cord has broken, or there is a problem with the USB port on the computer. Try swapping to the other ports to see if the problem goes away before going forward.

If the problem is present on all ports and the camera is still under warranty, I would suggest contacting Canon directly and let them solve the problem.

You could also try purchasing / borrow a cable that fits if you want to save time without a camera / dealing with Canon.

I don't think it is a problem. Just connect the data cable to your camera and plug it to ur computer and u will see USB dvices (Removable Devices). Look if ur camer popups something (usb,bridge,etcl Removable Devices or USB is recommended

try changing the USB cord to avoid purchasing one, bring your camera to your retailer and ask them if you can try to charge it there, if it does you have to purchase a new USB cable through myaccessorymall.com if the camera is still in warranty, you can try to call samsung and ask them for a new USB cable
