Will not power on with remote or power button.
Check and replace the damaged component/s at its main power regulator board [SMPS]; or, replace this board as card basis. Contact any service technician. After replacement, the should be some voltage adjustments to be done to Plasma TVs.

SOURCE: SVA HD4208 42INCH Plasma will not turn on.
I called the factory or the distributor or wholesaler (customer service) that comes out on the web and they told to just buy a new remote cuz tv just isn't recognizing the remote. Can this be true? If this is far from being true, where do I buy the boards and what are the chances that the boards are the real problem?
thanks once again.
Trunking.
SOURCE: TV turns on, then immediately off again
hi nel2874
so, you have a television that turns off immediately after you turn it on.
It sound like your power supply on the unit is out. Because I don't know the value of your unit I cannot comment on replacing the unit. But I would recommend that you use our website to find a Flat Panel TV Repairman near you. You may want to call to get an estimate on replacing the power supply before considering replacing the unit.

Power LED on front panel blinks several times, there is a delay, then repeats. After fiddling and fuming (mostly fuming) I found that changing the input signal source allowed the TV to be turned on. When I changed the input signal source back everything was ok.
In other words...
My TV is connected to my PC's video card via an HDMI connector. My card has 2 HDMI connectors. I moved the connector (the part that comes from my computer) from one HDMI out to the other. The screen powered up. When I changed the connector back to the original HDMI out I got my display back.
So yeah, try changing your input signal source. If you're using cable try switching to your Xbox/PS3/whatever, or vice versa. If you only have one possible signal source then I have no clue.
It's almost like the TV doesn't get any signal from the current cable then goes into sleep mode until it gets another signal. My problem had to do with me changing a bunch of sleep/timeout/screensaver settings on my TV/comp.
Hope this helps someone.
SOURCE: Bottom half of the screen is black on Samsung HP-R5072 50 in. HDTV Plasma Television
I have a solution. My Samsung plasma had the same problem with the bottom half of the screen being black. Follow these directions and it will not cost you a dime, just some time. I took the back panel of the tv. I found the lower buffer board on the left hand side. I disconnect all the ribbon cables. Use an air cleaner to spray out any dust on the ribbon connection and the board. I connect the ribbons back to the board. My plasma is now as good as new. If you have issue with the top portion, do the same with the upper buffer board. I was going to buy a new tv but I'm glad I gave this a shot first. It's been almost a month and it's still working fine. Hope this helps and hope it saves you some money.
