1# First unplug tv,unhook ant.let set overnight.2# Reconect ant.Plug back in.turn tv on with button on tv.let tv run trew all its modes for 5 to 6 hrs.Don`t push any buttons!!!!! It has to reset everything.then try remote, when it starts to work, set new pin code.use your instruction book,to set all blocks to N,,Clear all favorite channels + erase channels in tv 's memory if there in there yet, takes a lot of time.it will keep resetting, remote won't work.let it run awhile. then push exit, hold 5 to 10 seconds remote will eventually come back, check your settings reset them, be sure menu is set to STOP, it may start running threw all its modes again, let run couple hrs, then push exit 5 to 10 seconds to get your remote back.keep trying this. when you think the tv is working right, turn it off for 10 seconds then back on. If it starts resetting, let it run an hr,then push exit again to get your remote back,it has to reset everything, keep trying, took me 3DAYS to get it right!!!!!!!!! the only thing I don't have working is the pic size button,Don't need that anyway. A few questions first:
Yes the your Toshiba has a 15 Pin VGA input on the back I/O panel.
Are you using a 15 Pin VGA male to male connection between your TV and Computer.
Is your Computer a
1) laptop or a
2) desktop
The highest PC resolution this TV will handle is 1280x1024 @ 60 hz.
Here is a web site below with your TV's Specs:
http://www.crutchfield.ca/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=05219AV600&Show=ExtInfo
If you are trying to use a HDMI cable then PC is not the selection you wish to select but the HDMI input is.
Blessings always,

How to adjust brightness 40e220u

To adjust the brightness to your preferred level on the Toshiba 40E220U, you need to access the Personal settings section of the Picture settings. Press Menu (on the TV or remote). The Menu button is the second button from the bottom of the buttons on the side of the TV. On the remote, it's the button above Eject and to the left and below the left arrow key. Use the Left/Right arrows to select the Picture icon. Press the Up/Down arrows to navigate this sub-menu. To select an item, press Enter. The Picture Settings is the second item from the top in the Picture menu. Once highlighted, press Enter. Then navigate to the Brightness line, press Enter. Use the Left/Right arrow keys to adjust the brightness. (Note: you may need to adjust the contrast as well. That is a separate option.) Use the arrow keys to highlight Done after adjusting the brightness. Then press Enter to save. If you select Reset and press Enter, the TV will return to the previous settings. You may also need to adjust the Mode (one line above Picture Settings) to Preference instead of the Movie or Standard mode.

You can find this information in the manual which is available here: https://support.dynabook.com/support/modelHome?freeText=3259132 . My file history gave the direct link of https://content.us.dynabook.com/content/support/manuals/userguides/su3221447/GMA300011011_CCFL_11Dec08.pdf for the manual. Most of the information is on page 72. However, the use of the TV and remote buttons is described on page 42; this is towards the end of the summary of the Menu layout.

I hope this helps.

My tv's channels are only up to ch 35, and we have cable tv connection. I cant utilize my cable connection cause my tv's only programmed up to 35. do we have a way to program it to go up to more than 35?...

I assume you have analog cable TV service and no cable box. Press MENU button on your TV remote. Go over to CHANNEL SETUP. There are four arrow buttons and a button in the middle of the arrow buttons on the TV remote control. Use these arrow buttons to go up, down, left and right. Use the button in the center to select. TV On-screen menu has Video, then Audio, then Channel Setup.

Cable can be set to ON or OFF, you want to set it ON to get cable channels.
Go down to AUTO PROGRAM and select it, press button in the center of arrow keys.
A short delay while available channels are searched so be patient. After Auto Program finishes, press MENU to exit. You can perform Auto Program whenever required.

You can also add or skip channels manually. You will discover more options in the TVs menus.

Toshiba tv 32kv500b, when tryin to install channels came up no signal, checked aerial cable but cannot get back to the installation menu which came up in the beginning, when press menu button a smaller set...

I suspect you are seeing the Main Menu for the source that you are currently using. Press the Source button (TV/AV on the TV itself) and make sure you are on TV source. The menu will have a set of icons if it is set for analog and a vertical list in digital. Select Setup (use the up/down arrows for digital and the left/right for analog - it's the first one in the list) and click OK. Then select Installation (third one in the list) and then press OK. Next select Automatic channel scan (first one again) and press OK. You will see a warning prompt, highlight Yes and click OK to scan for digital channels. When it is done, it will ask if you want to scan for analog channels.

The manual is available here: http://www.toshiba-om.net/LCD/PDF/English/Country_Specific/KV500-32-English-Specific.pdf (direct link to the pdf)

I hope this helps.
