Audio problems connecting ps3 to bose lifestyle 48 system

Just bought a ps3 and tried hooking it up with hdmi to the 'vcr' connection on the vs-2 of the bose Lifestyle 48 but i don't get any audio (video is fine).

hooked up the ps3 with hdmi directly to the tv and get both audio and video (so both ps3 and hdmi cable are working fine).

tried hooking up ps3 to bose system with hdmi and optical digital without success (again just getting video but no audio).

ps3 audio is set to optical digital and bose has 'vcr' designated as optical digital source. why am i not getting audio from the ps3 through my bose lifestyle 48? any help is appreciated.

Audio has to connected seperatly.vs 2 is for video connection only..Bose is a ripoff.... u pay all that money and you need a seperate audio connection plus all those wires..it isn't worth it and regret i bought it.

SOURCE: a ps3 and tried hooking it up with hdmi to the

hook up computer straight to t.v with hdmi cable. then get two aux cables (usually red and white) and run them straight from tv audio OUTPUT to audio INPUT on bose system. them anytime you want surround sound even when your watching tv just press the aux button on the bose system controller. should be perfect.

Does bose home theater support 3d tv's??

They don't as the vs-2 switching box doesn't support hdmi 1.4, so all the required information isn't passed through it to the tv. I have the same problem with my lifestyle 48!!

Connect lifestyle 48 to plasma and dvr

You need to buy a Bose VS 2, video enhancer. Your cable/sattelite, vcr and aux connect to the VS 2 and the VS2 connects one HDMI cable to the TV. The VS2 then upconverts DVDs played on the lifestyle through the VS2/HDMI.

Hello, i have a vizio flat screen tv and i don't know the correct places to connect the cables of my Bose Lifestyle 48 Series IV DVD Home Entertainment System. Please help me

Does the Bose have HDMI out? Does the tv have an HDMI socket?
If it does just connect them both together. All inputs i.e. cd, ps3 dvd etc will go into the Bose.

Bose Lifestyle 48 System play's dvd in black & white only also connect to vs-2 video enhacer

This sounds like a loose s-video cable at the back of the media center (connecting from the VS-2). Check that connection.
If adjusting this cable does not fix this (I'd be surprised) then just reset your media center by unplugging the dc power cable for about a minute and plugging it in again. (while system is off first of course)
