Timex electric watch not running

Hi Mark,
It appears to be a battery problem. Have you changed the battery recently? How have you checked the battery? I suggest you check the battery's voltage, even if it is a new, replaced battery.
You need to be sure the battery is not the problem before looking elsewhere.
Need more detail if this does not help, including the model of watch. Also how long has this problem existed, and when did you notice a change - was there a specific time/event?

Please stop telling people Rolex watches don't tick.

Yes, absolutely correct , all automatic watches tick and the fake Rolexes just tick a bit slower so it is more visible.

How do I unlock settings (general, user, exercise)?

Shortcut battery with AC contact. AC can be found on the sides of watch movement(very tiny). You have to use pointed tweezers: one end on battery+, another on AC contact for three secs..

How do change the date on my citizen divers watch

Hi,

Hope this will helped you fixing the time of your Citezen divers watch. Just foolow the instruction below.

Change your Citizen watch's time zone without actually moving the clock hands. On the digital display, change the city that displays on the watch, which sets the time to the different time zone. The Citizen also has a calendar, timer, chronograph and LED lights. Since it is an Eco Drive watch, it is solar powered so you never have to replace the batteries unless its backup power source dies.
Difficulty: Easy Instructions

  1. Pull the setting knob (crown) out one "tick" for setting mode.

  2. Set the mode hand to "WT-S."

  3. Pull the crown out one more "tick."

  4. Press the top button on the right side of the watch for the city setting mode.

  5. Press the lower button on the right side to "SET" the city.

  6. Turn the crown to select a different city, which changes the time zone.

  7. Push the crown all the way back in to finish setting the time.

Thank you for using Fixya.

Watch tick much faster

You have to clean hairspring. Unless the hairspring is spotless, there is no way the watch will keep time. Make sure hairspring coils are even and not touching. Rate me, please.

Backlight on DW6900

You cannot change the light. It is an electro-luminescence layer behind the display. It is something like a large LED. They are designed to not be very bright to save battery life. I have a number of Casio watches. They are all not very bright. Also the non silver background type watches tend to be much darker than the silver background with black symbols.

My watch stops and starts - for example I will wake up in the morning and the watch will be ticking but the time will be 6 hours behind the actual time

from experience this generally happens when the battery is low, the tick will appear normal however the time does go round in sync with it. Replace battery would be my first point of call
