Kenmore side by side Refrigerator top portion is not getting cold. The freezer is working and the bottom portion of the refrigerator is cold but not the top portion of the refrig,

the refrigerator simply by transferring the cold air from freezer via circulation fan the temp controls tells the fan to circulate cold air until the thermostat is satisfied I would check to see if the fan is blowing on most models I have seen its located in the left rear wall closest to the freezer above the top shelf

Fridge/freezer Samsung3116NW very noisy from left fridge wall Ithink

if the left side of your fridge is the freezer compartment , chances are you have a bad circulation fan . I would suggest replacing the fan motor assembly . The circulation fan is located at the rear of the freezer mounted to the evaporator cover .

Why is my Fridge stop making eyes?

Hi,

Yes the fan will always continue to run to allow for the air to be circulated in the freezer compartment.

Due to various reasons this problem could occur:
1)Check the temperature setting.
Set it to max and min and check for any changes you can see in the system.
2)The compressor vents cold air into the freezer. Occasionally the vent can become clogged with ice, food or other debris. Locate the vent and clear it. To remove ice, use a hair dryer set to "low". Using the high setting may cause damage to the components or interior of the refrigerator.
3)Test the temperature control
With the ohm meter you can test it.If it does not show any reading this is the defective one you have to relplace this soon.
4)First and simplest thing is to make sure your condenser coils on the back of the fridge usually, are clean and have adequate air circulation. If you pull the fridge away from the wall you can just brush them off or use the brush on your vacuum.
5)Check for a clogged drain tube if it is clogged remove the clog.
6)Test the evaporator fan.The evaporator fan circulates air over the refrigeration
coils. The coils absorb heat and the chilled air is then circulated. If the fan does not operate, the freezer will not cool properly. The fan motor may have failed, but check first that something is not simply blocking the fan blade.
7)Defrost timer:Usually the defrost timer could solve this issue. It may be located below or back of the refrigerator. Some times it may be located in the side to for side refrigerator.Locate the timer and rotate the clutch head screw clockwise until you hear one audible click. That puts the system into defrost mode. If the system restarts after 30-35 minutes. Then there is no problem with Defrost timer.
8)Heater and defrost thermostat is located behind the back wall of the freezer section. This only controls the Heat. After the Defrost timer stops it makes the system warm.
Defrost thermostat could be defective.

Freezer staying cold but fridge side is HOT

The Evaporator fan is not working. Located in the freezer above the evap coils is the circulating fan. Remove the cover to access the evap coils and circulating fan. If fan runs you have a defrost problem and the evap coils will be frozen over.

Top is not cooling, sn no cold air is coming into top. Freezer seems to be working

SOUNDS LIKE THE CIRCULATING FAN IS WEARING OUT. THIS PROBLEM IS VERY HARD TO DIAGNOSE BECAUSE THE FAN SPINS BUT NOT FAST ENOUGH TO CIRCULATE CHILLED AIR THRU THE FREEZER AND REFRIGERATOR. THE MINIMUM COST FOR PARTS AND LABOR IS AROUND $300.00. THE FAN IS LOCATED BEHIND THE BACK PANEL OF THE FREEZER COMPARTMENT.

Freezer on bottom is working normally, but refrigerator on top is warm. The condensor fan is working, condensor is clean, compressor runs.

The condenser fan only circulates air around the condenser and compressor. There should be another fan that circulates the air around the refrigerator, it should be located inside of the freezer section at the rear. I would look for this fan and see if it is operating first.
