Even after switch off, there can be some discharge of static charges present in and around TV, hot plastic parts can contract and make some noise. Some sets have the cooling fan run for a few seconds more to reach a particular temp, before it is turned off. Just try switching off the power outlet, and removing the plug and see.

I had the same problem. I found that my sound bar can't be too close to the TV. I have my samsung TV on a platform ( not mounted) and the sound bar in front of it. In this configuration, the sound bar kept shutting off. I returned it as a faulty unit and the second one did the same thing. By chance I happened to move the sound bar off of the tv platform and the problem ceased.

it should be very tight if you look down the middle of the adjitator it should have a aloy screw that should be done up very tight

I cant imagine vinegar harming your machine, if anything it would clean it! But i can imagine walking round in vinegar smelling clothes phewww :-)
