If all the mechanics work as they should , you're in good shape. The right and left audio channels don't even have any circuitry, so the problem must be with the cartridge. (or bad old cables). Take out the cartridge and rub the connectors with a pencil eraser to clean them. Wipe with a rag and reinstall the cartridge...The missing channel should be back. If not you may have to change your cables. (there are tons of youtube video walkthrough.) It's not that hard and you get to upgrade the cheap cables Technics gives you. :)

As for the light, I assume you mean the pop up light? All you need to do is order a new bulb. I suggest LEDs these days. Longer lifespan and BRIGHT as hell. Heck if you feel comfortable with a soldering iron, get the whole LED kit. Any color you want and it replaces all the stock lights with your custom color for about $10. Cool huh?

If not you can just replace it with the original incandescent bulb for about $10 on ebay (oem always costs more than custom)

If the light you were talking about was the strobe, you will need to learn to solder or just buy a new motor board on ebay. They go for about $120, but then problem solved. I hope this helped.

Has the gas charge in the AC system been checked for proper level with a pressure gauge? If it is low due to a leak the system will not engage or cool.

A 16/4 channel Mackie VLZ bought new 1997 hardly used. Some times a channel goes quiet, sometimes the fault moves to another channel, or while setting a channel input signal the knob seems to work till...

I suspect you MAY have a severe ground loop. The green light indicates channel crossover if nothing plugged in.

MAKE SURE ALL connected equipment is powered from the SAME receptacle. If you service amps from receptacles at one end of the room and this board from the other end, you are ASKING for trouble.

Read up on "common mode" as it pertains to balanced lines. Equipment can be at risk if grounds "bounce" as they often do.

When green light with no inout shows up, slide all faders down first. Then unplug input lines one at a time... turn off the amps and then unplug the output lines one at a time. See if one of these inout or output lines was causing the green light.

You should be using BALANCED lines to your amps... either XLR or TRS types at both ends.

Kenwood kac 859 amp

hi, note that if you are not using the proper gauge b+ and gnd cable with this amp then the current available at the amp wont be sufficint to keep amp on. also try using this amp while vehicle is idling. if this doesnt work then disconnect all spks from amp and check if red lite stops flashing. if it doesnt stop flashing then amp has internal fault. if lite stays on brite then proceed to check each spk load impedance, then reconnect each spk individually. the minute red lite starts flashing it will give you a clue that the channel or spk load is faulty. cheers
