Flickering and colors on screen. Screen freezes for about a minute then tv shuts off. The vizio name flashes for about 2 minutes then the tv turns on and works fine. This happens everytime I use it!!! Please help me.
Try resetting your tv back to factory mode. Go to menu, system information, and resetting back to factory default. Parental code is 0000.
More than likely if its image issue its a defective T-Con board.
Does the vizio name flash with a repeating pattern? Some tv's will blink the power light to indicate which part is failing.

I had same problem. Unplug set for 10minutes then plug it in and let it go thru it's startup routine.

verify if it only happens on the antenna/cable input and if it works fine with dvd or other input, then it is a signal issue with the cable or antenna u r using and repair that problem and not the tv

It can be the unstable power supply due to bad DC filter caps, bad T-CON boards, main board.
I would inspect the power supply first for caps with domed tops.

The flickering is most likely due to a faulty fluorescent backlight. Once the bulb heats up the flickering usually goes away. Some bulbs are easier to replace than others so I would contact your local TV repair shop.
