SOURCE: need to know gas to oil ratio jonsered 535 chainsaw
50:1 is the mixture for the Jonsered 535. I bought mine new around 1991 and it's been a great saw.
SOURCE: how to adjust chain and bar oiler flow
The chain should be adjusted so that the chain can be pulled by hand fairly easily, but doesn't droop from the bar underneath. Oil flow should be set so that a running engine (chain moving fairly fast) will send a thin line of oil off of the tip of the bar (onto a piece of cardboard) with a few moments of running. Hope this helps!

SOURCE: the chain on my Jonsered
The chain on a chainsaw expands during use. This is caused by the heat generated by friction with the timber being cut. The chain should be monitored during use and the slack taken up by the tensioning adjustment screw or knob. You may have to loosen the nuts holding the bar before doing this and then tighten them securely. If these nuts are loose the chain can become slack. If you give me the model of the chainsaw I can try and find a manual and check the tensioning procedure as newer models of chainsaws have either automatic tensioning or have a thumbwheel arrangement for doing this.
