How do I channel auto scan

in most tv'd there is as a channel retune option from pressing the menu button and selecting setup and then selecting retune. In retune menu there would be a manual retune or an auto retune option.
Karen if you provided the Make and model number of your particular television someone o fix ya could find the user manual most likely and give more precise instructions on how to do this.

I cant retune my proline tv/dvd combo as there is no retuning option in the limited menu.no option to reset on the controller either so have no signal now since swithover.how can i get it to reset anyone?

Some TVs brands - I believe Proline is one of them - cannot be retuned when you are in Digital mode. If you switch back to analogue mode, then press the menu button, the option to auto-scan should be available. Once you retune, switch back to digital mode.

Try this and post back if you need further assistance.

Please rate this solution if you find it helpful. Thanks.

TELEVISION

Samsung tellys top level menus should have a choice of four or five sub-menus.

The one you want is that represented by a picture of a satelite dish / antenna. Dont worry if you dont get your TV via satelite, this is just the symbol they use to denote the tuning options.

Down arrow to the satelite dish sub-option and select enter. This should then give you several more options, one of which is Tuning, Select this and then select Auto Tune, then press enter and the set will completely retune itself.

If youre asking this as a result of yesterday's Freeview retune, then you may well end up with some "dummy" channels - i.e. they either have nothing at all displayed or a message telling you the channel has moved - or some of the channels have an incorrect name. I'm hoping that now the retune has happened, in the near future these dummys or errors will be fixed.
Some Samsung TV's dont have a "tuning" sub-menu but "Channel(s)". Selecting this will then give the Auto Tune option.
