Lcd26tv022hd Lost remote control. Can I tune in using only buttons on tv

It probably is the tv that needs tuning in to use the buttons as opposed to them being 'blocked'.

However, why not buy a universal tv remote?

As there is no Menu button on the front panel of your TV, to perform an auto tuning function, you must have its remote control. Without remote control, it is impossible to get in to this menu option.

CAN YOU TUNE ANY CHANNELS? ARE YOU OFF- AIR, CABLE, SAT BOX?

No you can't tune without the remote control except you can search on PCB board whether the additional/optional button for Auto Tuning or Manual Tuning. If it is exist you can add the button and use it. Other wise, there is no way to tune, and you have to looking for the remote controller..you can try to use the Universal remote first.

use the button's on the front of your tv or buy a universal remote it will help with some function's $5.00 anywhere or you can buy a refurb remote for $135.00 on the internet rocky

1. Press tv on your Sky remote control.

2. Press and hold down select and the red button together until the red light at the top of your Sky remote control flashes twice.

3. Press tv again

Then enter the remote control code using the number keypad. The red light will flash twice if a valid code has been entered.

4. Point your Sky remote control at your TV and press the Power button. If this turns the off as you'd expect, then the tv should be set, press Select and the remote should work

5. If the TV does not turn off press tv, then press the Power button again, repeat this process until the TV turns off, when the TV turns off press Select.

I have the same issue. If you click the source change button it will come back- (whilst on the wrong source) for a while. I think your getting inferior LCD panels. Try smelling at the top  of the tv, see if it smells a bit burny.
